How Advertising is Destroying My Productivity

I just watched a 30 second clip of a car being repurposed as a grain grinder. It was a neat little clip, showing ingenuity in finding a solution to the problem at hand. The main concern I have is that, in order to watch that 30 second clip, I had to sit through a 45 second commercial. An advert that ran longer than the featured content. By sitting through the whole thing, I wasted 250% above my time allotted for waste. There are plenty of things I could have done in those extra seconds. Plenty of things that I should have done, which went undone. My life has not been bettered in the slightest, nor have I learned of anything that I would need or want to purchase. In the end, it is wasted time. More time spent wasting time on wasting time than if I had have just been given the chance to waste the waste time allotted. I've probably lost you by now, as I've lost my train of thought. Advertising sucks. I'm wasting time by writing this, but this time would have been wasted anyway on some other post, or wasted on another commercial. Another 45 second commercial I have to waste time sitting through just to hear a 30 second exhaust clip.

I'd write a book, but nobody would read it. In the end, I'll continue to waste my life in front of the internet until they cart me away. I may not leave a legacy. I may not be mourned by anyone. But I will go to my grave quoting every goddamned YouTube poop ever created.
